STARROAD: learn Korean typing with K-pop and K-drama

Live

STARROAD is for K-pop and K-drama fans who want to learn to type Korean (Hangul) on a normal keyboard. You type along with Korean text while a romanization guide sits on top, and the app checks every jamo (Korean letter piece) and shows your speed and accuracy as you go. It runs in the browser; there is nothing to install.

FAQ

Can I learn to type Korean with K-pop songs?

Yes. STARROAD K-POP lets you type Korean text from songs with romanization shown above, and scores every jamo so you see exactly which key was wrong.

Which Korean keyboard layout does STARROAD use?

Dubeolsik (2-set), the standard Korean layout: consonants on the left hand, vowels on the right.

How is typing speed measured?

STARROAD counts jamo (key presses) and uses the 5-keystrokes-per-word convention: WPM = jamo ÷ 5 ÷ minutes. 300 jamo per minute shows as 60 WPM.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Both sites run in a desktop browser. You only need the Korean input method enabled on your computer.
